About

When it comes to fashion, are we on the brink of something bigger than recycling the same old trends, over-consumption and tired brand names?

Julie Bent, Artist, Head Designer and Founder of LOT201, is a vibrant young designer who’s out to put Baltimore – and her signature line – on the fashion map. Better yet, she might just draw a new map altogether.

She’s launching her line with an innovative, DIY spirit and a smart, consumer-conscious awareness that glows with a true artist’s creative sensibility. She’s motivated to create fashion in a community where non-commercial art is celebrated and where do-it-yourself is a mantra, not an insult.

After earning a BA in Fine Arts and Fashion Design & Patternmaking Certificates, her focus has evolved into a love for original apparel designs created for real people (with real bodies). Short, tall, straight, or curvy.

Imagine a clothing line with unique, easy-to-wear garments designed by an artist mindful of the fact that our bodies are constantly changing and that not everyone can be a runway model (think: Drew Barrymore and Kate Winslet). Then add a dash of quiet confidence, and amazing sincerity and stellar designs, you’ll start to get the picture.
